Tomorrow, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 at 11:30 am, the Israeli Supreme Court will hear the petition of Adalah and LAW-The Palestinian Society for the Protection of Human Rights and the Environment against the Israeli army’s massive destruction and demolition of Palestinian homes in the Jenin refugee camp.

Adalah Staff Attorney Orna Kohn urgently submitted the petition this evening, after receiving information that the Israeli army gave no warning to residents of its intended actions, and no time for them to remove their personal belongings from their homes. In some cases, the army demolished houses even before people had the chance to escape. Reports received indicate that people were killed and injured, buried in the rubble of the destruction.
