Palestinian Citizens of Israel Killed by Police During the October 2000

The killings of 13 unarmed Palestinian citizens of Israel by the police took place in Umm al-Fahem, Jatt, Arrabe, Sakhnin, Nazareth, Kufr Kanna, and Kufr Manda on 1, 2, 3 and 8 October 2000. None of the individuals shot by the police posed a danger or threat to life to the police or to others.

Mohammed Ahmed Jabareen, 23,Umm al-Fahem.

Shot in the buttocks with live ammunition on 1 October 2000. He died on the same day before reaching the hospital.



Ahmed Ibrahim Siyyam Jabareen, 18, Moawiya.

Shot in the left eye on 1 October 2000. He died the next day from his injuries.



Rami Khatem Ghara, 21, Jatt.

Shot in the eye at close range on 1 October 2000; he died from his injuries the next day.



Eyad Sobhi Lawabny, 26, Nazareth.

Shot in the chest with live ammunition on 2 October 2000, he died the same day.



Ala'a Khaled Nassar, 18, Arrabe.

Shot in the chest at extremely close range on 2 October 2000; he died the same day.



Asel Hassan Asleh, 17, Arrabe.

Shot in the neck by police at extremely close range on 2 October 2000; he died the same day.



Emad Farraj Ghanaym, 25, Sakhnin.

Shot in the head on 2 October 2000; he died the same day.



Walid Abdul-Menem Abu Saleh, 21, Sakhnin.

Shot in his left hip from behind on 2 October 2000. He died the same day.



Misleh Hussein Abu Jarad, 19, Dir el-Balah.

Killed in Umm al-Fahem, where he lived and worked. Shot in the chest with live ammunition on 2 October 2000 and died instantly.

Shot in the head on 3 October 2000 and died on the same day.

Mohammad Khamayseh, 19, Kufr Kanna.

Shot in the knee on 3 October 2000 and died on the next day.



Omar Mohammad A'kkawi, 42, Nazareth.

Shot in the chest on 8 October 2000; he died the same day.



Wissam Yazbak, 25, Nazareth.

Shot in the back of the head on 8 October 2000; he died the same night.
